The company's history has deep roots dating back to the 19th century. Founded in 1852 in Přerov, the firm Heinik specialized in the development and production of transmissions, friction clutches, and gray cast iron castings. A key milestone came in 1899 when the company obtained its first patent for Benn's flexible coupling, which significantly influenced the further development and long-standing tradition of drive manufacturing in the region. In 1951, the national enterprise Přerovské strojírny was established, continuing this tradition with the production of gearboxes, clutches, and brakes.
In 1993, PSP Pohony a.s. was founded, continuing the proud legacy of its predecessors with the same passion and responsibility dedicated to the production of high-quality drive systems, thus preserving a tradition that has lasted for more than a century.
